St. Barths Winter Getaway...Ahhhhh...

Everyone has a “Happy Place” I like to think. A place you go to that simply allows you to breathe and takes you away from your day to day. A place that makes you smile as soon as you get there and one that you are so sad to leave. My “Happy Place’ is St. Barths, formally known as Saint Barthelemy, a French speaking Caribbean island. I have been visiting St. Barths for the last 12 years and intend to continue to visit this beautiful bohemian chic island for as long as I can.

The beaches are some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. There are eight primary beaches in St. Barths. My favorites are Gouverneur and Saline.

St. Barths has everything I need for the perfect winter getaway. Not only are the beaches beautiful, but the capital, Gustavia, is a beautiful little town with a yacht filled harbor, delicious restaurants and fantastic shopping. Two of my favorite restaurants in town are Bonito and L ‘Isola. Another favorite is Le Tamarin at Saline Beach.

I’ll usually rent a villa if we’re going with a group of friends, if not the Christopher is our home away from home while in St. Barths. It’s located in Pointe Milou and is known for its’ fabulous pool.

My usual St. Barths morning and afternoon routine is to have breakfast by 9:00 which usually includes the most delicious chocolate almond croissant and a macchiato, gym by 10:00 (Form Fitness), pool at noon followed by a delicious lunch and then the beach! Trust me..I never get bored of this.

I could write so much more about this beautiful island, but I’d be here for hours writing. Just know it’s a must see. I promise you won’t regret it!
