I started seeing a lot of guys doing the rings at the gym and wanted to give it a try. I thought this may be beyond my comfort zone, but thought I'll never know if I don't do it. I spoke with my S10 trainer about incorporating ring work in our workouts. He was all for it. I've been working on the "Ring Pull Up". I soon found out that It sounds much easier than it actually is. My trainer has me pulling up on a one second count and lowering myself at a five second count. I feel my entire upper body working, specifically the back. My ultimate goal is to do a full body pull up. I need to get to the point where I can do at least ten ring pull ups before attempting the full body pull up. The goal is to get to this point by the end of the summer.
Lesson learned...step outside your comfort zone and most likely you will surprise yourself with what you can do.
